My
Story

Hi, I'm Liz

I grew up in the countryside near beautiful Quebec City in Eastern Canada. I studied business with a strong conviction that it would help me make the world a better place through kinder management of resources and sustainable practices. It was during this time that I discovered yoga, which has become an all encompassing practice in my life ever since. Upon finishing my degree in 2015, I moved to Australia to pursue and deepen my study of yoga and Zen Buddhism. It wasn't long before I fell in love with an incredible man who is now my husband and decided to make Australia my second home. I spent the following years teaching yoga and working in marketing for a variety of health and wellness brands. I spent three years coordinating the marketing and sustainability for a local aromatherapy brand, deepening my knowledge, understanding and appreciation for plant medicine.

Becoming a mother was a life changing experience. It has allowed me to see the world from a new perspective, and to connect to my inner wisdom as a woman on a deeper level. My heart has since been longing to be alongside and support other women through matrescence. This is how my journey towards postpartum care began.

Bringing our daughter into the world and becoming a mother was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. Navigating a very challenging pregnancy with Hyperemesis Gravidarum and giving birth during a global pandemic away from my family was far from what I imagined it would be like. Nonetheless, it was a transformational experience, with all its magic, challenges, mystery and beauty. The incredible support I received during this time from near and far made the transition into motherhood a more restful, joyful and nurtured experience. However, despite all the preparation, I still deeply felt the lack of woman-centred care during postpartum and the recognition of birth as a rite of passage in our community. This sparked my desire to better support other women in their journey to becoming a mother, the most beautiful adventure of all.

I am dedicated to be of service to the women I walk alongside, weaving both modern and traditional care practices to deeply nurture, nourish and restore the mother. My holistic approach to postpartum care is deeply influenced by my own life experiences and embodied knowledge of mindfulness, Ayurveda, yoga, TCM and food as medicine. I am continually learning from wise women in our community further deepening and refining my practice.
I feel deeply honoured and grateful to support mothers during this very precious time in their lives.
With love and gratitude,
Liz
