Honouring & Caring for the Newborn Mother

Postpartum Doula Support

In-home visits to support, nourish and nurture you during your transition into motherhood. Support includes physical and emotional care, postpartum specific meals and traditional postpartum care practices. As a doula, my role is to care for and honour you during the sacred window of the fourth trimester in whatever way you need it most so you can focus your energy on simply being a mother.

Postpartum Planning

Space and time dedicated to visualise, prepare and create awareness around your postpartum journey. We will explore your intentions and vision for your transition into motherhood and develop practices and strategies to help you achieve your desired postpartum experience. You will receive a personalised postpartum guide and resources. Postpartum planning is available in home or online.

Pre & Postnatal Yoga

In-home guided yoga practice to support you during pregnancy and beyond birth. Yoga may help ease some of the discomforts of pregnancy, while calming a busy mind. Beyond birth, yoga can help gently support the body during recovery, improve circulation and release tension often associated with breastfeeding. Most importantly, it offers an opportunity to stop, connect with your breath, still the mind and move stagnant energy in the body.

Closing the Bones Ceremony

Closing the Bones is a traditional Mexican postpartum ritual to honour and nurture mothers after the birth of their baby. The intention of this ritual is to close the birth portal, to energetically bring the mother's spirit back into her body and to nurture her after childbirth. The ritual is performed using traditional shawls called Rebozos to wrap the mother's body in a cocoon. Closing the Bones recognises the significance of birth as a rite of passage and the importance of ritual as a way to honour it.
